Kelly Olafson joined KBM Consulting in 2023 to assist KBM’s clients with underwriting, case management and client services. Kelly has over 30 years of experience in the life insurance industry consisting of operations, sales, marketing, case design, client services and reporting.
Kelly started her career working for several general agencies. As she continued to enhance her skills and background, her interest grew where she became an Internal Wholesaler, Regional Sales Vice President and Account Manager with Prudential Financial, Pacific Life Insurance Company and Securian Financial. During her time at Prudential, she managed a specific territory consisting of 45 offices working with elite producer groups such as M Financial Group and Partners Financial/NFP. She educated producers on Executive Benefits and employee retention programs. Additionally, her talents extend into building relationships and understanding how to streamline the underwriting process.
As an Underwriting and Case Management Consultant for KBM, Kelly will handle all aspects of life, disability, and long-term care insurance from the informal stage of underwriting to the formal application stage through policy issuance and policy placement. Her sales experience gives her the ability to recognize the opportunities in one’s book of business. This is a true asset to KBM’s clientele.
Kelly earned her Associate of Arts degree in English from Bemidji State University. Additionally, she holds her life and health insurance license. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping and gardening.
