Steve joined KBM Consulting in 2023 as an Underwriter and Case Manager consultant. In this role, he is responsible for managing all aspects of the underwriting process and believes supporting the producer’s business is the top priority. This is achieved by having a thorough understanding of each case, preparing for potential obstacles, and presenting the case favorably through written and verbal communication with the carrier partner underwriters. His ability to negotiate when required is one of Steve’s greatest strengths.
Steve began his career in the life insurance industry in 2011 and has over 8 years of experience working with both M Financial Group and Partners Financial/NFP firms. Prior to becoming a Case Manager, Steve spent several years working in client services. His vast experience in client services has significantly emphasized upon him the importance of transferring a case from new business to client services with great detail and ease. He understands the importance of maintaining inforce business given it is just as vital as obtaining new clients.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance from The W.A. Franke College of Business (FCB) at Northern Arizona University. During his time at the university, he managed the technology sector for the Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF), a million-dollar portfolio for the NAU Foundation. In his free time, Steve enjoys golfing, bowling, and traveling with his wife, Cassie.
