Michael Rugen joined KBM Consulting in 2021 as a Case Design Consultant and has over 12 years in the life insurance industry. He has extensive experience in designing life insurance solutions and modeling comparisons given the client’s needs and objectives. Michael’s expertise includes providing carrier illustration support, competitive analysis as well as product due diligence concerning compliance specifically tailored for variable universal life products. Additionally, his background in client services is such an asset when assisting KBM’s clients particularly with inforce management.
Over his career, he has built relationships with the industry’s top insurance carriers. His business relationships include serving as the Senior Product Specialist with TQE Financial in Long Island, NY and an Advanced Life Sales Analyst and Product Consultant with Lenox Advisors, Inc. in New York City. Both positions gave Michael the opportunity to provide financial advisors and insurance professionals with recommendations concerning life insurance products and addressed technical questions in the areas of estate, business, and supplemental retirement planning. Additionally, he held positions at Chernoff Diamond, LLC (M Financial Group Firm) and Brokerage & Life Planning Group which are both based in Long Island, NY.
Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s College (LI).
Michael is licensed in life, accident, and health Insurance.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, attending sporting events and traveling.
